Water Damage

24-Hour Emergency Water & Storm Damage Restoration · Residential & Commercial

Rapid extraction, structural drying and mold prevention after leaks, floods and burst pipes.

What we handle

Water Damage, handled end to end.

Water damage gets worse by the hour. What starts as a burst pipe or a storm leak wicks into drywall, subfloor and framing within minutes, and mold can take hold in as little as 24 to 48 hours. Tri-Tech responds 24/7 to stop the source, extract the water, and dry the structure to the IICRC S500 industry standard with commercial equipment — then, because we're a licensed general contractor, we rebuild whatever the water ruined. One team, from the first extraction to the final repair.

Emergency water extraction

Truck-mounted and portable extractors pull standing water fast from floors, carpet, pad and wall cavities.

Structural drying

Commercial air movers and dehumidifiers dry subfloor, drywall and framing, with daily moisture monitoring to a verified dry standard.

Mold prevention & remediation

Antimicrobial treatment stops mold before it starts — and full containment and remediation when it's already present.

Contents & document drying

Furniture, electronics, documents and keepsakes dried, cleaned and restored — or documented for your claim.

Insurance handled

We document the loss with photos and moisture readings, coordinate with your adjuster and bill your carrier directly.

Full reconstruction

Licensed GC rebuild — flooring, drywall, paint and cabinetry — so one company takes you from wet to whole.

Scope of work

Every water damage job includes

One licensed team from emergency response to final rebuild — nothing handed off, nothing falling through the cracks.

Our process

Our 9-step water damage restoration process

Safeguard Property

Our rapid-response team secures the affected area and stops the damage from spreading — shutting off the water source, protecting belongings and beginning immediate mitigation the moment we arrive.

Secure & Sustain

We thoroughly document the extent of the damage with photos, moisture readings and a written scope, establishing a clear baseline for the restoration work and your insurance claim.

Water Extraction

Using state-of-the-art truck-mounted and portable equipment, we efficiently extract standing water from floors, carpet and wall cavities, removing the bulk of the moisture fast.

Structural Drying

We remove the remaining excess moisture with commercial air movers and dehumidifiers, drying structural components — subfloor, drywall and framing — back toward their pre-damage condition.

Mold Mitigation

Our experts closely monitor moisture levels and apply antimicrobial treatment to prevent mold growth, ensuring the property reaches a dry, safe, verified state.

Asset Preservation

We carefully handle your belongings and personal items throughout the process, protecting and relocating what's at risk to minimize loss and distress.

Inventorying & Packing of Contents

Items are cataloged with a photo-documentation system and safely packed to preserve your possessions and keep an accurate record for you and your insurer.

Content Cleaning & Restoration

Damaged contents are assessed and cleaned with targeted techniques and equipment — dried, deodorized and restored — for the best possible outcome.

Property Restoration

Our licensed construction team completes the reconstruction — flooring, drywall, paint and finishes — restoring your property to a livable, pre-loss condition.

Know the damage

Not all water is the same

The source and age of the water decide how it has to be handled — the restoration industry sorts it into three categories. We identify the category first, then extract, sanitize and dry to the correct standard, because clean water left too long becomes contaminated water.

Category 1 — Clean water

From a clean, sanitary source — a broken supply line, an overflowing tub or rainwater. Safe to handle at first, but it degrades quickly if it isn't dried fast.

Category 2 — Gray water

Water with meaningful contamination — a dishwasher or washing-machine overflow, a sump-pump failure or a toilet overflow with urine. It can cause illness and needs proper cleaning and sanitizing.

Category 3 — Black water

Grossly contaminated water — sewage backups, storm and river flooding, or standing water left too long. A health hazard that calls for containment, safe disposal and full disinfection.

Your belongings

Pack-out & contents restoration

Water damage doesn't stop at the structure — it soaks into furniture, appliances, electronics, documents and keepsakes. When items can't be dried and cleaned safely on site, we inventory and pack them out to our secure storage and restoration facility, where each piece is dried, cleaned, deodorized and restored. Everything stays protected and documented until it's ready to come home — so you can focus on getting life back to normal.

FAQ

Common questions, answered.

How fast do I need to act after water damage?

Immediately. Water spreads and soaks into materials within minutes, and mold can begin to grow in as little as 24 to 48 hours. Our line is answered live 24/7 and crews mobilize right away — the faster we extract and start drying, the more we can save and the lower the cost.

Can water damage really lead to mold?

Yes. Given enough moisture, mold can start within 24 to 72 hours. We don't just remove the visible water — we dry the structure to a verified moisture standard and apply antimicrobial treatment so mold never gets the conditions it needs. If mold is already present, we contain and remediate it properly.

What are the categories of water damage?

The industry sorts water into three categories: Category 1 is clean water from a sanitary source; Category 2 (gray water) carries contamination that can cause illness; Category 3 (black water) is grossly contaminated, like sewage or storm flooding. The category determines how the area must be cleaned, sanitized and whether materials can be saved — and clean water left too long degrades into a higher category.

Will my insurance cover water damage?

Sudden, accidental water damage — a burst pipe, an overflow, a storm-driven leak — is covered by most homeowner and commercial policies. Gradual leaks from long-term neglect, and rising floodwater (which needs a separate flood policy), often aren't. We document everything with photos and moisture readings, work directly with your adjuster, and bill your carrier directly.

How long does water damage restoration take?

Structural drying typically takes about 3 to 5 days, depending on how much water, what materials are wet and how long they sat. We place drying equipment, monitor moisture daily, and only pull it once readings confirm the structure is dry. Any reconstruction that follows depends on the extent of the damage.

Can you save wet carpet, drywall and hardwood?

Often, yes — it depends on the water category and how long materials were saturated. Clean water caught early lets us dry many materials in place; contaminated water, or long saturation, means some carpet pad, drywall and flooring have to be removed for safety. We assess each material and save what can be safely saved.

Do you handle sewage and Category 3 cleanup?

Yes. Category 3 losses — sewage backups and storm flooding — are handled with containment, protective equipment, safe removal and disposal of unsalvageable materials, and full disinfection of everything that remains, so the space is safe to occupy again.

Do you also repair the damage, or just dry it out?

Both. We're a licensed general contractor (B-501801), so the same team that extracts the water and dries the structure also rebuilds it — flooring, drywall, paint and finishes. One contract, one point of contact, no gap between mitigation and reconstruction.

Can you handle a large commercial water loss without shutting my business down?

Yes. We scale the crew and drying equipment to the size of the loss, contain the affected area so the rest of your building keeps operating, and schedule the disruptive work after hours or in phases wherever we can. For property managers and facilities teams, fast water removal is as much about protecting revenue and tenants as it is about the building — so we work to keep you open while we dry you out.

Insurance made easy

We work directly with your carrier.

Fire, water and smoke losses are covered by most homeowner and commercial policies. We document the damage, coordinate with your adjuster, and bill your insurance directly — so recovery starts now, not after the paperwork.
